The Bedel Security Team is excited to welcome our newest vCISO Specialist, Kenyatta Smith!
Kenyatta spent 13 years learning the inner workings of Community Banking. She held positions in Risk Management, Appraisal Review, Information Technology, Information Security, and Operations. She is also a Certified Banking Vendor Manager. The knowledge she has acquired during her tenure as a community banker provides her with the unique ability to see the needs of financial institutions from various perspectives.
When asked about the team's newest member our COO, Stephanie Goetz, had this to say:
"We are so pleased to have the opportunity to add Kenyatta to our team! Her background including banking knowledge and experience with Information Security will enable her to contribute value to our customer’s programs very quickly. Additionally, we have identified and seen firsthand that Kenyatta is a very driven person so we know great things are in the making with her coming on board. Welcome Kenyatta, we are blessed to have you at Bedel Security!"
Her responsibilities have always included, balancing multiple positions simultaneously. She is a highly organized problem solver and believes the key to a successful financial institution is a well-managed and monitored Information Security Program.
Kenyatta lives in Southeast Georgia with her husband and 3 children. When she isn’t working, you can find her on the ball field supporting her boys in their athletics. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
