HealthSouth Round Rock laptop stolen, 1,359 victims

Another healthcare breach that could have been avoided by laptop encryption.

HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Round Rock (Texas) is notifying individuals that some medical and personal information may have been lost when an employee's laptop was stolen.

A breach that will cost the hospital hundreds of thousands of dollars could have been avoided with software that costs less then a couple hundred dollars.
