The Bedel Security Team is excited to announce the promotion of Mark Lester from vCISO Specialist to vCISO Senior Advisor.
Mark brings years of experience supporting information technology and cybersecurity across multiple industries. Before joining Bedel Security, he provided IT support for a community bank and worked as a Security Analyst in the financial, healthcare, and public sectors. This diverse background has given Mark valuable insight into both the technical and operational challenges organizations face when managing information security.
Mark earned his associate degree in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance from Ivy Tech Community College. He enjoys working in the ever-evolving field of cybersecurity and continually learning new ways to approach complex challenges. By combining his knowledge and experience with logical and analytical thinking, Mark helps make information security more manageable for the financial institutions Bedel Security serves.
Since joining Bedel Security as a vCISO Specialist, Mark has continued to expand his knowledge, take on new challenges, and demonstrate his commitment to supporting both our clients and his fellow team members.

As a vCISO Senior Advisor, Mark will continue helping community banks and credit unions navigate information security and cybersecurity risk while taking on expanded responsibilities in serving and advising Bedel Security clients.
Mark resides in the Indianapolis area with his wife and two daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys running with his dog and experiencing new cultures around the world with his family.
