We are a growing cybersecurity consulting firm that specializes in Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) services exclusively for the banking industry.   
There's a position description below, but to get down to it, this role is a Quickbase developer position where you will help build out our platform that staff will use to deliver services and help customers make informed cybersecurity decisions. 
The knowledge and experience you will gain in this position are invaluable. 
To be successful, this position requires the following skills: 
  • Excellent communication skills, including:
    • Verbal
    • Written 
    • Video conferencing, etc. 
  • Strong ability in the Microsoft O365 suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook),
  • Extensive Quickbase experience. 
  • Project management capabilities, including:
    • Scheduling
    • Prioritizing
    • Managing deadlines, etc.

Position Description

Quickbase Developer

Reports to: VP, CTO 

Designation: Permanent Full Time 

Basis: At-Will; Salaried (Paid over 24 pay periods on the 1st and 15th of each month on a 1-period delay) 

Location: Full-time United States Resident | Remote office (work from home; see travel) 

Work Schedule: 40-Hour Base; Flexible; Deadline-oriented; Typically, M-F 

Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000

Description 

This mid-level position is responsible for planning, developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-level solutions in the Quickbase environment. The Quickbase Developer will work under the direct supervision of the CTO. This role requires a solid knowledge of the Quickbase environment and how to use it to solve complex problems. The position also requires solid planning and communication skills to gather and document requirements, create plans to turn those requirements into quality solutions, coordinate testing of solutions with other staff, document the solutions, and support the solutions after implementation.

  1. Strong knowledge of the Quickbase platform, including a good understanding of: 
  2. Tables and table relationships 
    • Field types, including complex formula fields 
    • Dashboards, Forms, Reports, and Graphs 
    • Quickbase access model 
    • Quickbase APIs 
    • Quickbase Pipelines, including integration with outside applications using connectors. 
  3. Experience building APIs to integrate Quickbase with other solutions using pipelines is a plus. 
  4. Experience with Juiced for report creation is a plus. 
  5. Knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, or banking is a plus. 

Experience 

3+ years of recent experience building solutions on the Quickbase platform. 

 

Education 

While an associate degree or above is required, candidates will be primarily considered based on skills and personality, rather than on education and degrees. 

 

Certifications 

None required 

 

Travel 

This position will require occasional overnight travel (<30 nights per year) as necessary to meet regarding projects, to attend training or conferences,  and for other various company meetings.

This position requires agreement with and adherence to the following promises: 
  • Non-disclosure of client information and/or NPI/PII 
  • Non-disclosure of sensitive information internal to Bedel Security 
  • Non-compete with our Virtual CISO services for 1 year after termination; this means: 
    • You won’t be employed by, contracted by, or the owner of another entity that either offers or is planning to offer Virtual CISO services for financial institutions. 
    • You won’t work for, or contact for solicitation, any Bedel Security clients. 

Position Duties 

  1. Develop systems in the QuickBase platform: 
    • Create specifications. 
    • Create systems using native QuickBase capabilities. 
    • Create API integrations between QuickBase and other systems. 
    • Maintain and update QuickBase applications (as needed). 
  2. Assist in the administration (access provisioning, configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, etc.) and support of various systems used by the organization.  
    • Support internal and external users of solutions built in Quickbase. 
    • Work with third-party vendors to coordinate support and configuration.
