Bedel Security is proud to announce the promotion of Trisha Durkin, CISSP, to President & Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Trisha joined Bedel Security in 2020 and has played an increasingly important role in the company’s growth, operations, and service delivery. Her promotion to President & COO reflects both her continued leadership development and Bedel Security’s commitment to building a leadership structure that supports its team, clients, and long-term growth.
Before joining Bedel Security, Trisha spent 16 years in community banking, holding roles in risk management, project management, information technology, and information security. She also earned her Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
That experience has given Trisha a unique perspective throughout her career at Bedel Security. She understands firsthand the operational and regulatory challenges community financial institutions face and how information security must work within the realities of running a bank or credit union.
Since joining Bedel Security, Trisha has taken on progressively greater leadership responsibilities. She advanced from vCISO Specialist to vCISO Senior Advisor before stepping into leadership of the company’s service delivery function and ultimately becoming Chief Operating Officer.
As President & COO, Trisha will lead Bedel Security’s day-to-day operations, helping ensure the company’s people, processes, and priorities remain aligned as the organization continues to grow. She will work closely with CEO Chris Bedel and the leadership team to execute the company’s vision while maintaining the high level of service and culture that have been central to Bedel Security’s growth.

Trisha joined Bedel Security during the COVID shutdown in 2020, and from the beginning, she demonstrated the resilience and adaptability that have defined her career here. She has earned the trust of our team through her steady leadership, willingness to take ownership, and commitment to doing what is best for our clients and our company. She has grown from Specialist to Senior Advisor, then stepped forward to lead our service delivery team when we needed her most. At every stage, she has continuously asked for and embraced greater responsibility.

Even as her leadership responsibilities have grown, Trisha’s community banking background continues to influence her approach. She is passionate about helping financial institutions integrate information security into their day-to-day operations rather than treating it as a separate or intimidating discipline.
Her combination of community banking experience, cybersecurity expertise, and operational leadership gives her a dual-lens perspective on both the challenges Bedel Security’s clients face and what the Bedel Security team needs to serve them effectively.
As President & COO, Trisha will continue helping translate Bedel Security’s long-term vision into execution while strengthening the systems, teams, and processes needed for the company’s next stage of growth.
Trisha lives in coastal Georgia with her husband and their dog.
